Professionally, I am a self-taught bone artist specializing in the ancient art of bone carving. Through Calvary Skulls, my mission is to create authentic, handcrafted pieces that honor tradition and respect the sanctity of every individual skull. Each work is approached with reverence—preserving the essence of nature’s marvels and allowing them a second life as storytellers. My craft is rooted in preservation, transformation, and deep respect for the materials themselves, whether expressed through carved skulls, horn and bone jewelry, or sculptural works that celebrate nature’s raw honesty.
My work is also deeply personal. Raised in a conservative household under the guidance of my grandfather, a respected pastor, I grew up surrounded by faith, structure, and rigid societal expectations—where skulls and death were viewed with fear and stigma. Yet I found beauty in their intricate forms and meaning in the tension between life and death. That contradiction shaped me. My journey has included profound personal challenges, including divorce and single motherhood, experiences that sharpened my understanding of humanity and resilience. Today, I see myself as both sculptor and storyteller, creating art that reconciles beauty and decay, reverence and rebellion. Through my work, I invite others to question assumptions, embrace duality, and discover beauty in life’s most unexpected places.
